About Mekor - Why We Need You
Mekor Habracha is a vibrant and inclusive Modern Orthodox congregation in Center City, Philadelphia. Our shul attracts a diverse group of people including students, young professionals, newlyweds, families, and empty nesters. Since 2007, Rabbi Eliezer Hirsch has led our shul and made Mekor an integral part of expanding the eruv, increasing the number of kosher restaurants downtown, and assisting with conversions. Under his leadership, Mekor is a home to many Modern Orthodox Jews in Center City who wish to live a meaningful and Zionistic life.
This year, Mekor will be hiring an associate Rabbi. To help us meet this goal and continue our shul’s mission, we need your support now more than ever! We believe all Jews should have a meaningful home where they daven. We appreciate any support you can give to help Mekor continue providing that space.
